Amber Research Laboratory ARL Home Data Files

The ARL has been gathering data since the early 1960s
Infrared SpectrumSince the printed publications of the ARL often cannot include all the primary evidence, this website gives access to the evidence in the form of IR, NMR, and MS spectral data, and of total ion chromatograms. In addition, it offers separate compilations of literature references on amber and on organic archaeometry

The files below may be downloaded freely. Please note that the files are constantly being augmented and revised. Updated versions will be posted periodically.

DOWNLOADING: Some of the downloadable files have been compressed into self-extracting StuffIt archives. The Expander for Windows or Mac can be downloaded freely from Aladdin Systems.

A collection of about 15,000 mass spectra of organic compounds isolated and identified from archaeological contexts and from natural sources in this and other laboratories, plus reference mass spectra from secondary and primary sources of these compounds. Searchable by molecular weight, molecular formula, name, and by molecular peaks, base peaks, and fragment ions of the mass spectra.
